Barn Owl, Beach Road, Cley, 13th March 2006 (John Miller).

Male Stonechat, Cley, 17th February 2006 (Steve Gantlett). This delightful bird wintered on the fence just to the right of the boardwalk.

Adult Black Brant with Dark-bellied Brent Geese, Salthouse, 20th January 2006 (Steve Gantlett). At least one wintered in the Cley Square again.

Adult Ross's Gull, Blakeney Point, 31st December 2005, and (above) its crowd of admirers at Cley the next day, 1st January 2006 (Steve Gantlett). Found in the early morning by Tony Aberdein on the shore near the Cley end of Blakeney Point, this bird did an instant disappearing act, but fortunately it was refound further down the Point by Andy Stoddart later in the day. Next day, it performed beautifully to the crowds, beside the Half Moon Pit and then on the beach towards the North Hide.

Siberian Chiffchaff, Weybourne, Norfolk, 14th December 2005 (Steve Gantlett). Another 'Honorary Cley Square' bird thanks to Martin Preston; it remained at his garden on 11th-24th December.

Adult American Golden Plover, with Golden Plovers, Cley, 27th October 2005 (Steve Gantlett). The long-awaited first for Cley, for several days this bird commuted with the Golden Plovers between the fields between Smoker's Hole and Langham, and Pat's Pool, where this photo was taken.

Little Auk, Cley, 24th October 2005 (Steve Gantlett)

Little Auk, Cley, 24th October 2005 (Richard Millington). One of two birds that settled on Cley beach at the Coastguards briefly; they both carried on flying west.
